Conventional Dentures, Immediate Dentures and Partial Dentures in Edmonton

If you’re missing teeth, dentures are an answer to restore your full smile. Dr. Zarsky and Dr. Burnett work with a lab technician to determine how each individual patient should be treated. There are different types of dentures, and we will tailor our treatment to match your needs. Your dentures can be removed and replaced in your mouth as you wish. River City Dental offers several denture options, including full and partial dentures, in Edmonton.

Conventional Full Dentures

Your teeth are extracted and your mouth is given time to heal. Once the tissue has recovered and your jaw has settled into its new shape, your dentures will be fit and placed into your mouth. This healing stage can be several months and you will be without teeth during this time.

Immediate Full Dentures

Getting fitted for immediate full dentures means that you will never have to be without teeth. Dr. Zarsky and Dr. Burnett will take measurements of your mouth before your teeth are extracted and your dentures will be designed in advance of your extraction surgery. Once the teeth are extracted, you will be able to wear your dentures immediately and you will never be without teeth. Your dentures may need to be relined to refit them to your gums as your jawbone changes shape during healing.

Partial Dentures

Sometimes, you may be able to preserve some of your natural teeth. In this case, you can get a partial denture that replaces your missing teeth while incorporating your natural teeth. Many people choose this option because your natural teeth help to preserve the size and shape of your jawbone.
